I gotta say, "gratification of lust with a minor" has a certain Victorian/Oscar Wildean ring to it, part depravity, part poetry.

The teacher needs to be incarcerated for just being ugly. If I was the judge, I'd add a couple years to her sentence just for that.

Teachers (grade school) are considered to be in a position of community trust. Same as doctor. (If age is under 18 even though age of consent is 16 in MS) They cannot have sexual relations with someone being taught or cared for under them. For it be rape there would have to be carnal knowledge (vaginal penetration). Same reason anal rape is sodomy. Rape only describes carnal knowledge. Other things are sexual battery, sodomy etc.

College professors are legally excluded for position of trust laws, so technically they could get with a student (assuming it would be legal for anyone to do). Many university's consider this a firing offense though so they might lose a job.
