Actually it didn't close.

Not yet. LM wants to cycle the fill and drain valves to see if they can get all of them in the right config.
5 cycles..and then they will reassess.

Not yet. It's just another Delta IV heavy launch though, this one just happens to have the Orion as a payload. Delta IV's are the biggest around though, it should be a good show.

Is a cycle essentially just opening and closing the valves?

One time I wish I was at KSC...it's a nice place to visit..but surrounding areas are pretty dead now that Shuttle's been done.

Yes, and getting verification of the position.

New launch time yet?
I think the launch window is until 9:44ET if I'm reading this correctly.

Negative Ghostrider.
Issues with the valve cycles on Port and Core on the Liquid Hydrogen. Troubleshooting plan to be developed. Stay tuned.

It's the vehicle they will use to put man on Mars (2035).
They've been saying "we swear we'll be on Mars in 20 years" since 1969. Presidents make these empty promises knowing that they will in no way be accountable for it. Seriously, pretty much every president since we landed on the Moon has promised this, but of course they're full of shite. Until they put out a precise 10 year plan like they did for the Apollo mission, then we're no closer going to Mars than we were 40 years ago. It's simply fricking embarassing.

They don't have much time left to figure it out.... Maybe an hour now? I don't see this thing getting off the ground today, but I'm no expert.

Who the frick put Les Miles in charge of this shite?
We'll be lucky to move this thing above the treetops now

Presidents don't do the work. Engineers and scientists do.
If Presidents would really like to help, they'd lose their petty thinking of "that was the previous administration's way of thinking..and just because it was his, I'm not adopting it"
Constantly shifting from one program to another causes brain drain and loss of other skills to other industries.
Add that to the fact of the ultra conservative safety culture here at NASA...and you have the recipe for staying in LEO.

Nicely played sir!
LM=Lockheed Martin in this case.

Stranger things have happened. But I'm in the same corner. I think the launch window will expire.

Just saw this and figured there was a thread on here about it...glad I didn't miss it.
What's the hold up currently? And what are the chances this thing launches soon?

What dictates the launch window? estimated weather conditions?
