He declined to comment through an intermediary about his removal by LSU medical school Chancellor G.E. Ghali.
LSU Health Shreveport spokeswoman Lisa Babin provided the following statement from the school: "LSU Health Shreveport does not comment on employment matters."
In a letter submitted to USA Today Network, Nanda's colleagues lashed out at Ghali for the decision, calling it "a personal attack on a man who has dedicated his career to (LSU) and the education of students and residents."
The letter is signed by Drs. Donald Smith, Bharat Guthinkonda, Anthony Sin, Christina Notarianni, Hai Sun and Hugo Cuellar-Saenz and 49 other employees within the department.
Notarianni said Nanda's removal as chair is "devastating to our department."

Dr Nanda has treated two family members with great success. I have referred people not even remotely close to LSUS to seek him out, and they were very happy.

There's a faction of former Jindel people in the state that want all of the hospitals up here under the University Health System umbrella to be run by Willis Knighton.
People in Shreveport say they've taken over facility , after facility there.
None of the doctors want this to happen.

Let's just say this is all about money and who controls what. He isn't a good ole baw like some in this hospital so he got removed from his position. The governor has been talking to him and not sure where all this will end up.

He's a crazy MFer as in he will just dog cuss anybody and is intemidating as hell. Med students and nurses are scared as hell of him.
