My vacation starts tomorrow, and it's 90% chance of rain for a week.

Hiking in the rain, in Colorado, sounds freaking awesome.

Just prepare correctly. I love hiking in the rain. Its one of those times that you feel close to god.

Just make sure you have good shoes on. I like to wear a swimsuit over compression shorts when hiking in the rain.

Bring a poncho (or dry fit shirt), baseball cap, and make sure you have a plastic waterproof case for your phone and wallet. Also dry nylon sacks for different things in your backpack. You can buy all of this stuff at Walmart.

Best place in the USA right is probably Colorado, depending on the area.
Congrats

It doesn't rain in Colorado. Only snow.

Buck up Slippy. They've been forecasting a "dry out" here for months and we're like 14" over on normal rainfall. Maybe they'll be as wrong on the CO forecast as they are around here.

I feel like it rains every afternoon around 4pm in Colorado. You may be okay with weather earlier in the day. What part are you visiting?

August is monsoon season in the southwest US. Mostly afternoon storms. Just don't get caught on a mountain in a thunderstorm. You will die.

You should be happy, now you don't have to hike.
