As a basketball official for many years, I wish more parents would have the attitude of this father. It's sad to see the pressure some parents put on their young child.

Good article. Parents are the very worst thing about athletics. Many erode the team concept, put undue pressure on their child, and undermine the coach.

I'm using Friday Night Tykes as a guide for raising my young son Noah to be a man who thrives both in athletics and life. Actually considering moving my family from Monroe to San Antonio so he can play for the Outlaws.
