The ball in a box theory is the closest thing I've ever read to how I think it was when my husband died 9 years ago.

My condolences. If you're a church goin' man, reach out there fr support.

This the gentlest I've ever seen the OT react to anything, are we in upside down world?

It saddens me to hear of your suffering. Hope you feel better soon.

The only living thing that will miss me are my two cats and some chickens. Maybe.

I'm terribly sorry to read your post.

You are a good dude and have made folks' lives better.

They'd be very proud of you. As are we here.

I lost my dad in September and I still have a cry every day.

Wish I had some advice but I’m looking to see what everyone else tells you to do.

My family is falling apart without my dad and they are slowing down my grieving process so be there for family but don’t let them bring you down with you. It sounds selfish but I am the only thing holding my family together and it is killing me and hurting my own family.

Lost my oldest sister to a car wreck while I was still in college the 1st go around. Was the Monday after Thanksgiving where she had graduated that May and she had spent the holiday visiting with a bunch of relatives, 8 months pregnant. You never get over it. I still miss her to this day and it has been nearly 40 years.

Prayers to you and your family!

I'm sorry for your loss, sid. I know it must be a lot to carry even all these years later. Today's the first day I've gone uptown. I'm a goofy, witty happy go lucky kind of guy and the store manager of the convenience store I'm a regular of made me feel so much better talking to em. People really do care and we have amazing people in Louisiana. I'm thankful for that and the OT today. And whoever created Ativan because now I can breathe normal and feel somewhat human again lol.

Dude im so sorry. I can't imagine losing my dad. Are they in good enough shape to go fishing or maybe go somewhere like Heber Springs, Arkansas for a weekend? They have affordable cabins especially if you book now for april or may. I say this because I went 5 years ago during a rough patch in my life and it gave me a renewed sense of purpose to hold on. Look up Bridal Veil Falls, Heber Springs, Arkansas. Those waterfalls did something for me years of therapy after finding out the little girl I raised from day 1 for 2 1/2 years wasn't mine couldn't do. I pray for you and your family. If you need a buddy to talk to I'll drop my email in a post dude. That's a lot to shoulder.

I'm sooo sorry you are going through this. I lost my sister, only sibling December 31. I miss her like crazy. She was 41. We are 14 months apart in age. For the first 2.5 weeks I cried almost all day every day. Don't let anyone tell you how to grieve. Heal at your own pace. A month later and I'm still having my moments. I cry hard then take a deep breath in think of a funny moment and breath out and just think happy thoughts of her.
She left behind a 16 year old. He found her. She was the light in the sky to us all. If you knew her you immediately fell in love.
Prayers. If you need someone to listen or share stories , I'm here

@coldturkey

I'm also waiting and praying for the day she visits me and hugs and kiss me and tells me she loves me and she's okay. I pray to have a dream like that every day. Damn I loved her

Thanks man. I appreciate you looking at helping me when struggling.

We have some trips planned and stuff. My family itself is fine, my bro and my mom are just struggling and no matter what I do, I can’t help.

<~~@gmail.com.

You are a good man and I hope the same peace that comes my way comes your way as well.

Damn son, sorry to hear. Lost my brother suddenly a year and a half ago. I know exactly what you mean about feeling their presence. Mine got coupled with a nasty divorce.

Time has healed the wound for me and my family. We’re finally feeling happy and getting on with our lives. You’ll get there. You seem to have a good grip on things. Prayers sent, brother.

I'm typically not, but I think it'd be best for me to be at mass with everyone this Sunday. And that's why I say the OT is amazing. I posted about my mom's health problems, huge thread full of support. When my boss was attacked by his son and later died months later from covid and pneumonia in hospice after having surgery to relieve pressure on his head, same thing. I'm not the type that knows how to articulate pain and grief in person because I enter the conversation thinking I'm just bothering them by bringing up something heavy, so the OT and telemed visits have helped me a lot through the past few years. I've lurked on TD since I was 12, 29 almost 30 now. There are some amazing people that frequent this site and help without ulterior motives, just because it's the right thing to do.

I’m very sorry for your loss, call the office where you go to church and they can probably put you in contact with grief counselors

It will be beneficial to speak with someone

Your sister sounded like she really loved and was a great person, it’ll take time, but you’ll be ok bc she’s watching over you now
