In New Orleans, 120 people had been killed by late August, compared with 98 during the same period a year earlier. In Baltimore, homicides had hit 215, up from 138 at the same point in 2014. In Washington, the toll was 105, compared with 73 people a year ago. And in St. Louis, 136 people had been killed this year, a 60 percent rise from the 85 murders the city had by the same time last year.

Rivalries among organized street gangs, often over drug turf, and the availability of guns are cited as major factors in some cities, including Chicago. But more commonly, many top police officials say they are seeing a growing willingness among disenchanted young men in poor neighborhoods to use violence to settle ordinary disputes.

Certainly the disrespect for law and order shown by the Obama administration and the administration of these so-called sanctuary cities has nothing to do with anything, right?

We should make drugs more illegal. Put people in prison if we have to.

Funny how some of those cities have the strictest gun laws.

That and they're filled with blacklivesmatter folks.

Please, the War on Drugs has been insanely successful in keeping drugs at bay. Can you imagine what the US would look like, had we not made them all illegal?

We have created a welfare state.

Fatherless families are created with multiple children just to get more from the government. These kids grow up in poverty with no family or community support and lead a life of crime.

Its not rocket science.

We need to incentivize people to not have children on welfare, cut back on welfare altogether, and put that money saved into our school systems.

Are the officials on a 30 year delay?
