I like how easy it is to get to from BR. If you live in Ascension parish then it’s about 40 or so minutes away.

Convenient to fly to lots of major cities in US. Cheaper to drink there as well compared to other airports.

I would suggest a big part of this is the fact that MSY is a lot smaller than other "big city" airports. Try walking from one end to the other at O'Hare, DFW, Hartsfield...not to mention you can have your arse planted in your car and on I-10 in about 1/5 of the time it takes to get out of some others.

All of those cities are larger and have wayyy more air traffic than MSY

It's great home airport. Modern Clean Short waits Easy to get in/out Being its my home base I don't have to deal with the rental car/rideshare issues but to drive in, park, fly out & reverse it is very nice and convenient.

This. I don’t deal with the rental car situation but have heard it sucks. From a local perspective it’s a fantastic airport now that the flyover is complete.

Is this one of those things where we pay the most to support or advertise
With the voting party? Like all these 225 Magazine or Nola City Business best places to work/eat/live. Those ratings are complete horseshite

It’s probably the best small airport in the country.

There are flaws though. Notice there are ZERO places for traveling individuals to sit down and do work. If you have been to Bush in Houston, every terminal is littered with seating for working travelers. And you can order food from nearly every seat.

As long as the rental car situation exists, no fricking way.

They must be the voters who rented cars and didn't have to look for parking.

Vegas has the same setup.

But NOLA should have found a way to intergrate one of the old terminals for international travel and connect both terminals with a people mover/monorail.

"The Club" Airport Lounge @ MSY is not the best airport lounge in the US.

Open from 4:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Having to hear Teedy's welcome should penalize it

This. People are associating the terribleness of the city of New Orleans. Take the name out of the equation and it’s not bad at all for a major airport. Obviously doesn’t compare to flying private, but combined with TSA Precheck or Clear+ and it’s a breeze to get through.

But is the car waiting there for you, because at MSY it's not.

I must admit, I do enjoy the new airport. I would say it's better than most, if not all of the others I've flown into recently.

Always able to park. Quick walk to check-in. Security doesn’t take a while. Don’t have to walk a mile to get to my gate.

Checks all my boxes
I remember getting off the plane in Salt Lake City a couple of years ago and had to walk what seemed like a mile to get to baggage claim.
