Prefer close to downtown. 1,000 - 1,400 rent, no kids

Where is the nice/ happening part of town? Popular streets for bars and restaurants?

Why not post this on r/Pittsburgh or some other Pittsburgh forum.

I doubt many people on here can give you advice.

Lawrenceville area is probably what you want

It has an abundance of cool bars and breweries. Geared towards a younger crowd/ young professionals

Not sure if this is a troll thread or not, but if serious, here you go:

Let me ask around at work. Buffalo is similar to pitt in what you're looking for (downtown, $1195 a month with all utilities, close to bars, etc)

Can’t tell you where to live, but Pittsburgh is a really cheap place. You’ll get a lot of house at $1400/month.

So how do you explain posting here from Michigan and living in California?

My people, LSU and Nola people get around.

I liked the area across the river that overlooks downtown. I’m not sure the name but they had some good night life and the houses looked good.

Mt Washington is ok

I liked kennedy township halfway between downtown and robinson which has good shopping and more suburban feel.

check out AR Building in Kennedy Township. Lived there for 2 years but moved south when our new office was built

Steelers fans are almost as lousy as Eagles fans. Probably even worse now with the salt mining since February.

I'm in Monaca. It's about 20 minutes out. We like it.

As someone who may be moving to the State College area soon because of my wife's job, I'm telling you right now you're going to want to buy a gun.
