Moving to Dayton, OH vs Bali etc

Im just down in Perth, looking at buying houses (killing time before hitting the beach)
Watching Tucker and Dayton, OH apparently is the opioid capital of the US.. So basically instead of working I can buy a house there - I mean check it out
Basically one months salary
Id just get a gun and a Rottweiler, security cams and just play videogames all day and do pushups and drink cheap beer - be retired.
And with the money I saved I could fly over my Indonesian gal for a few weeks. Im sick of Jakarta traffic
Or just pack it up and move to either Bali or Cebu and doing that whole thing..
Thoughts?

Dayton is a complete shite hole. Some nice places to live south of it though. Mason, Springboro and Oakwood are all nice but live somewhere else if you can.

Idk I've never been to Dayton.
You could probably find a cheap rural place to live in almost any state that would be much better/freer of trashy people.

A friend who is a Chef opened up a restaurant in Bali in the mid 2000s, and if it wasn't for an FSU/Georgia college football game, they would be dead from a terrorist bombing of a nightclub. His roommate convinced him to stay in to watch the game, instead of going out with the group of Aussie women who were vacationing there.
Islamic terrorists blew up the nightclub and killed a shitload of people, including the Aussie women they skipped out on that night.
Business dried up at their restaurant due to the attacks and they closed up shop and came back stateside.
