Is it possible to mount modeling clay on cardboard?

I just don't understand how to do this, but surely something has been achieved before.

Thanks for any help.

This may be the most fricking random question I've ever seen on the OT, and that's saying something.

Why on earth are you asking how to stick clay to cardboard?

It is a kid's project, but he and the wife don't know how to attach the model to cardboard. Well hell if I know, and google wasn't much help. So I decided to use an OT Lifeline.

We've glued clay figures to cardboard before using basic craft glue. (I think we've done clay animals and a model of the state capitol building.)

If the clay is still soft and the cardboard is thick enough (like the kind used in shipping boxes), you can also stick broken toothpicks into the bottom of the clay and the board before you glue it for additional support.

This sounds like a great idea for next time. At this point the clay is pretty solid, so we tried some glue and hopefully he will be careful carrying it around. Thanks for the input.
