Feel bad for the friends and family left behind. If people would just pay attention to their surroundings more the number of deaths on motorcycles would plummet. And by "more people", I'm talking about both cagers and riders as well.
Why in the frick would anyone downvote your post is beyond me.

A woman has been charged with negligent homicide in the death. I can't help but automatically think that she was texting or something like that. I would never want to ride a motorcycle in this day and age with so many distractions to drivers.

I have ridden since the late 80's and there were always distracted drivers, BUT... the use of cell phones by drivers has taken it to a whole new level.

I still ride for pleasure but do so more defensively around town than ever.

Some of my most relaxed riding has been out West, off road in National Forests when you don't see a car for most of the day.

I started riding in the 80s also, and I can't tell you how many times I've been stopped and heard brakes locking up behind me. I hate riding in town.

They need to make that intersection left turn on green arrow only. When you are trying to make a left turn on just a green light, you can't see oncoming traffic because of the left turners opposite you in the intersection. And when you try to be cautious because you can't see and don't want to pull out in front of someone, cars behind you get super impatient and start honking. I know that doesn't affect things when people don't follow the law (I.e. Making illegal u turns) but maybe it will help prevent some of the other accidents that occur there.

Too much carnage. Outlawing them might not be a bad thing. I see a ton of morons up here in the mountains putting themselves and others well being in danger. Of course, up here these hipsters are hopped up on all manner of substances and strong beer and bud.
