MMA fighter argues with ref to stop fight over guy who's clearly unconscious.

Its because he was able to get out so easily. Guy went from squeezing him to all the sudden nothing. That's crazy. Never seen anything like that. Great job by that guy not just tee'ing off.

Love that move. Typically, only newer guys to bjj get submitted by it. Mostly its used to improve position, but it looks like a magic trick when the guy on bottom doesn't recognize what's happening.

I've been choked out from side pressure on the neck. It took all of 2 seconds and everything went black. (Not during a fight, buddy was just fricking around)

Most think the unconsciousness comes from a lack of blood flow to the brain, but actually it's a preservation mechanism from the CNS. The Vegas nerve senses a pressure change and reduces needed blood to the brain. Your need for a blood is reduced because you're unconscious.
