I just read the suspect had obviously planned the abduction because he had “taken steps to conceal her in a house.”

Sounds like he had turned a room or basement into a cell.

Sounds like this nut took lessons from the Cleveland nut

Just terrible. How or when did Jayme and this loser first cross paths?

I'm assuming - key word assuming - it was social media or an application. I don't see this guy just going to kill two people and kidnap her daughter out of the blue.

I was guessing more old school, like he had worked with someone at her house, like with some kind of HVAC company.
Maybe he had met her while his company was inspecting the furnaces and he fell for her.
My guess also is that he's never had a girlfriend, and is very much an introvert and has low self-esteem.
Definitely doesn't help him that he's balding and looks at least 35.

I don’t get his intent for kidnapping.
Just to have her at the cabin?

They’re saying on reddit that they probably excluded sexual assault charges to protect her privacy since they already have enough to put him away for life.

I sort of wish I hadn't read that. That poor child. I hope she's got good relatives who will care for her properly and that she gets all the help she needs to deal with this and live life. My gosh, that report is awful.

You can't tell me this POS parents never had any clue he had these kinds of violent sadistic tendencies. His parents should also be locked up.

Just read all of that and it's tough to read.

Some crimes are just absolutely so unforgivable, cruel and evil that the only appropriate sentence is to let him have his pick here as to how he we're going to force him to go straight down to hell and burn there for all of eternity.

I can't imagine going through something like that and ever getting a restful night's sleep again. At 13 asleep in the safety of your own home and then someone kicks in the door, shoots your parents, kidnaps you, and holds you hostage for several months? Damn, just damn.

Not that it's very relevant but the guy is very premature bald for a 21 yr old. He has the hairline of a 35 yr old.

He spotted her at a school bus stop and began stalking her while planning the murders/abduction.
For a lot of reasons, I’m opposed to the death penalty but this guy/case certainly makes a strong case for it.

There’s just so many baffling aspects to it

1. Like mentioned before, he didn’t even know her at all. Just saw her at the bus stop one day and decided he was going to take her

2. Why the hell would murdering both of her parents be the #1 plan if all you cared about was taking the girl?

3. While he seemed to be well prepared in terms of not leaving any evidence and doing things like stealing license plates, he just goes completely careless and leaves her alone for long periods of time and thought that would never come back to bite him? He said he left her at the home alone for 12 hours on Christmas!

4. He was prepared to get into a shootout with cops if they had stopped him the night of the crime. Just doesn’t make sense for a girl he didn’t even know her name until the news reports came on tv. Then again he’s a psychopath so it’s hard to understand the thought process

And he stashed her under his bed with duffles around it while people visited, including multiple visits from his father. Turned a radio on in the bedroom (so she could not hear the conversation) and warned that bad things would happen if she came out.

If she decided to pop out while his dad was there, what then? Would he shoot his father to cover it up?

and its hard to tell but it doesnt even seem like he abused her sexually which i would find odd given the circumstances. and going out like her mom did is awful. thats one of the worst ways i can imagine
