Will NBC's decision to not air the pageant negatively impact the benefits that Baton Rouge would have received with a fully televised pageant??

PS Yall should join me in my boycott of NBC. never been a huge Trump fan, but getting damned tired of the PC BS...

ETA: oops - changed title. Isn't the pageant in July in Baton Rouge the one they are refusing to air??

They are going to stream it. Seems like BR had a lot to gain from the pageant being on a major network...not sure, that's why I asked the question on a site that is frequented by a lot of what I presume to be BR area business people.

What impact? The visitors will still come here for the show. It's not like the main focus of the show is this dreary, antiquated municipality anyway. I think any negative impact for BR is being overblown and is just an attempt by local media to create a story. Very contrived IMO.

That is a very polite way to describe this place.

I agree. I just can't help but doubt that anyone is going to be watching the pageant and think 'You know what, we really need to spend a week in Baton Rouge."

They do location shoots promoting stuff in the town so it would've been some publicity for BR even though it likely wouldn't have meant any longterm tourism boost.

If the state and city go ahead and give them the money promised, and it doesn't get broadcast on TV, it's an almost complete waste of money, which is pretty negative.

Super smooth with your words, but you don't know what you are talking about. It's Ok though, most people think in line with you. Doesn't make you a bad person, just makes you wrong in this instance.
