Please don't take this wrong as I don't know the actual facts, but do people really participate in the "knock out game" if they are by themselves? I've always thought it was idiots in groups looking for some sort of rush by blindsiding an unsuspecting citizen. The whole knockout game premiss seems more like a dare than some solo guy punching someone randomly with none of his friends around to gloat.
Either way I hate that shite like this happened to someone close to you and hope they pull through.

I'm waiting for the day that the national news shows someone being hit by one of these pieces of shite and pulls out a concealed firearm and puts a bullet between their eyes to show what happens when you frick with someone that is armed. Once this occurs more and more, this "game" will cease. Maximum of five years for second degree battery is absurd in this case.

I don't think so considering the statistics. I try my best not to have to stop anywhere in Gosport (the hood in Lake Chuck) because I have had a few instances there and have heard about several more.
