Actually I'd say Gen X killed this because many parents now don't give a shite if you smoke as long as your smart about it. If one of my friends parents let us smoke there we always would so we couldn't get in trouble with coppers.

Great observation. The strip in our small town was between two grocery store parking lots on opposite sides of the town, around the courthouse square, and a detour through the Dairy Queen drive thru.

If you got to ride with older kids or siblings, you thought you were pretty cool. But nothing beat the first time you could drive your own car.

What do Millennials do now? I know they aren't cruising because the small town "cruising strips" are all dead. I

They text each other the place of the bonfire and Uber to it.

Now a days there would be a police check point on the middle of the strip looking for DWIs.

I remember cruising every Saturday night. A friend had a restored 69 Chevy truck we would all pile in the back.

Then one night a friend used a racial slur and a black guy next to us heard it and chased us down and invited us to come to his hood and get dumped on.

A year or so later they banned cruising after multiple fights in the city park on the strip. I think one guy even got beat with metal pipes.

Well, I'm sure they didn't ruin something you love on purpose.

They're probably just busy trying to figure out ways to fix the economy that baby boomers destroyed and the environment that the previous generations mortgaged because it wasn't their own problem.

Say what you want about millenials, but they are the RESULT of the previous generation's crappy behavior.

Same here, it was awesome. We would make a whole weekend of it if we could. It all revolved around booze, chick's, music and weed.

Why cruise when you can stay at home and jack it to 1000s of xxx online videos

That's what I hear these millennialists are doing anyways
