Pretty sure Texas is already like this. I'm looking into getting one now. There's a "showroom" in Austin where they will show you the car and discuss all the features with you but they can't discuss price and can't broker a sale. They just kinda direct you to the website for further info.

No.
This is all intrastate. MI can do whatever the f' they want within their own borders.
The people of MI can still buy a Tesla, they just have to buy it from another state. Or Tesla has to setup a "traditional" car dealership and meet MI laws.

Can courts overturn this kind of nonsense? It reminds me of the casket debate in Louisiana where the monastery was making nice wooden caskets at a fair price and the dumbass funeral homes were blocking them from selling the things. I think the courts ultimately got involved.

Federal courts? Probably not. Were any federal laws broken or rights infringed?
State courts? Depends on what the MI laws say and given the fact that the governor just signed into law requiring Tesla to set up a car dealership then the chances seem pretty low that Tesla will get any relief in MI.

This protects dealers and the car companies that compete with Tesla, and no one else.

A lot of states dictate that wine must be sold in liquor stores, and not grocery stores.
This reminds me of that. You have to wonder how the liquor store owners, or in this case the car companies and dealers that compete with Tesla, have bought influence in these states.
