Mexicans towing vehicles down I-10

Does anyone have a clue as to what these guys are doing towing used vehicles down I-10? They are typically towing at least two vehicles, travel in packs of 2-3 and are headed west on 10. I'm assuming they are headed back to Mexico. I actually witnessed two guys towing school buses around Lafayette a few weeks ago.
Are they bringing these cars back to Mexico to sale? Just doesn't make a lot of sense if so. TIA

I wondered this myself. It's like the "In Tow" and Hispanic driver combo exempts you from any reasonable load security or registration laws. Bizarre.

Because they buy them pretty much in any condition and transport them to Mexico.
They have the vehicle serviced there because it's tons cheaper and they sell them for a very significant profit.

Just because they're towing them doesn't mean they own them. Probably working for a used car lot OR they're drug runners and need new cars.

How do you know they're Mexicans? They may be from Honduras, Guatemala, or Costa Rica.

Mexicans are incredible mechanics. They can keep a worn out piece of shite vehicle running forever.

Same for Africa. I've seen cars with all four wheels about to fall off and the cab held together by tape still on the road.
They can fix almost anything on the roadside.

Several times I've seen them with "IN TWO" written on the back.

No. Just no.
They buy vehicles that don't work at low prices, fix them (cheap labor) and sell them for profit (or use them).
Labor in the US is expensive as shite so shite thats too expensive here to fix is a value somewhere else.

Isn't the tow vehicle usually filled to the roof with shite as well...?

They also prefer manual transmission vehicles because they are easier to work on.

Yeah, when I was at auburn driving back to mobile a lot I would pass them coming down 85 and 65 from Atlanta. I never really understood all the shite in the cars. But I guess they were selling that shite too.

If they're brown and speak Spanish I call them Mexicans.

I try to not think too much about what poor people are doing. They obviously don't do something right if they are poor

Try welcome to 1985 maybe earlier. I would honestly like to know how much they have brought back to Mexico over the past 30 to 40 years. It isn't just cars, trucks and buses they must stop at every garage sale and load up on everything you can imagine. Most vehicles have listened plates from the northeast and east coast of US.
