no shite

and to everyone championing the "no criminal history" as some kind of racial silver lining

that more than likely means he hasn't been caught. Why? Well, a normal kid doesn't go from upstanding citizen to grand theft auto and murder in one night...typically. also, murderers in NOLA are 13, 14, 15, you get the picture

a rap sheet used to be something you'd expect from someone who has had enough time in an age range to accumulate one. we expect one for every child who is a murderer in nola? high expectations indeed.

It's incredibly sad to see this tragedy and the lost of essentially 4 lives. Where these kids when awry, I guess we will never know. No one deserves the gift that the widow does or the parents of those criminals. Sad situation all around

Who's going to fricking do it? The crime statistics are grossly in favor on one specific race committing most of the fricking crime. No one is making that shite up. How fricking weak are you as a race if you're constantly relying on someone else to fix your problems?

Would love to learn more about them.

I think one of the breakdowns in black culture these days is the lack of stable households, especially father figures.

Bring back the family and I think the culture changes.

I don't feel bad for these animals or the fricking a-hole that raised them. It's just not that hard, NO MATTER YOUR SOCIAL ECONOMIC STATUS, to teach your kids that it's not right to steal and murder.

Wish white folks felt the same Impetus to fix their own problems. Who's gonna do it for them?

Murder is wrong...a universal and widely understood concept stretching back thousands of years.

Police not releasing all info yet, obviously.

This was not a normal homicide by two back boys going after whitey. There's a big twist here. Someone close to the departed...

All of this for a purse.

It's beyond ridiculous.

I don't know if I could ever go back in that house again.

I hope some good hearted people go over there and clean up the mess before she goes back in that house.

They have companies that make good money that do this.

Hopefully someone pays for it though.

Did you even watch the press conference? Read the newspaper? Watch the news?

It wasn't 2 back (sic) boys. It was a 17 year old boy and his just turned 18 year old girlfriend.

It was a random robbery gone bad bad wrong.

Any other comments by you are just #dumbass!

If we want the African American community to fix its culture the first thing we need to do is clean out their trash filled blighted neighborhoods so it doesn't instill a Somalia type atmosphere in them.

I've been saying thsi for years.

Also, do you think the really really bad ghettos are homeowners??

Then who rents it? Who owns it?

I know people in here will say "oh section 8" blah blah blah. Truth is section 8 homes are inspected under a microscope. I had a landlord call me who failed because a stove took a little too long to light one of the four burners, (other three were great).
They are checked and the tenants will loose section 8 if they do not keep up somewhat with the property.

The real, real problem is Slum Lords. Many of who are white, many of whom are black as well (that isn't the issue) Issue is, people who can't get section 8 or whatever will live in these shite holes owned by Slum Lords. I have seen so many over the years. Usually owned by someone in Slidell, out of state or in Lake view.
It is these absentee landlords or "slum lords" who fail to take care of their property that really brings it down. The good news is the current housing prices are making more slum lords into section 8 landlords, so they fix them up a little better. Others still are renovating and flipping.

I do think the city needs to tear down every single house that has been abandoned for over five years. No matter what the owners say. Just do it.

Also, raise penalties for graffiti and make buying spray paint like buying sudafed. The Broken Window theory is spot on.

If we got rid of the abandoned houses, got rid of the graffiti, I do think we could improve the mental stigma of the neighborhoods.

shite where should I start

There in lies a problem---we've subjected minorities to collectivism, so minorities must answer for minorities and must "fix " there on problems.

Yet there is seemingly no moral impetus for white people to do the same or see themselves the same, almost as if the collectivism loses way to individualism.

I shouldn't be telling you what goes on in your communities. You should know. That's not my problem
