I don't think there's any issue. Solid case.

They're still getting their ducks in a row, I guess. No need to rush anything when the perp is in custody elsewhere with a bond he can't make. Once he's charged, the 48 hour clock for first appearances starts, and he's appointed counsel.

Last I was told (this afternoon), the two perps are an 18 y/o male and his 16 y/o girlfriend, both black. Male is in OPP on separate, prior charge.

Guy who returned for his inhaler was integral to identifying the getaway vehicle for JPSO, which was stolen.

It isn't a prior charge, was a result of a chase across the city he led the task force on when they tried to stop him. Picked up a (27)30 during that.

So is this considered a random act of violence , the suspects just picked a house with lights on? Or is there more to the story? Where they targeting group of friends? Curious, it's tough to understand first scenario because it doesn't make sense.

It wasn't targeting a group of friends.

It was a crime of opportunity gone bad wrong.

I think they make them delete their social media accounts now before releasing the names

Awesome they caught these two... JPSO/NOPD

So it's true the idiots used the stolen credit card... Do they not know how these things work...?

Glad to see them going to trial in Jefferson...

If this really is totally random, Normand is going to blow and I fully support him. If they are from New Orleans, he's really going to lose it. Hate to say it but I was hoping it wasn't random. Not that I want this family to be up to no good but it's a lot less frightening that way.

What's scary to me is that they seemed in such a hurry to kill... Bc they could have easily gotten away without doing so

now instead of 10 years for armed robbery both of them will be getting fried. hope it was worth it

Makes Metairie citizens living close by mad that chronically occurring car thefts and car breakins( caused partially by numnuts leaving their car unlocked) have not been previously addressed by JSPO.

Lack of crime deterrence in the past has lead to these tragic deaths and responsibility must also be placed on the local justice system which has failed to send a message that car thefts for joy rides and chop shops WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Citizens of Metairie unite ,form crime watch units and demand more from your government representatives before we become like our Big Brother neighboring parish !

Random thrill killing may have been the plan, with the laptop and credit card from the purse lagniappe. Too bad there really isn't anything bad enough that can be done to these thugs. Bet the 16 year old get a deal for talking.
