Met Marcus at a speach he gave in NYC a few years back but met his brother Morgan in country before that. Both are good people.

Most combat veterans don't brag. It makes us feel like we are stealing honor from those who died fighting. We keep it to ourselves and only discuss and answer questions that are specifically asked of us. We keep it short and to the point and never embellish what we have experienced or been through. We are humble and proud of our service. We miss those we have lost and grieve quietly. Veterans who embellish their actions dishonor those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice.
Luttrell’s story is real. He lost his brothers on that mountain and nearly lost his own life. His story is of perseverance, sacrifice, survival, and duty. We were so proud he survived. I take personal pride in being a part of that mission.
Lone Survivor was written and he became one of those embellishers and stole honor from the other 19 men that died that day. I still refuse to read or watch Lone Survivor.
