Allbirds Tree Runners are my go to travel shoes. They can go with shorts, jeans, or slacks. Comfortable for all day walking

I hit up Varsity Sports before going to Europe last month. Picked up some comfortable running shoes that worked pretty well. Bought/brought those but actually ended up wearing my Red Wing loggers for most of the trip. That's just because they are on my feet daily here at home. They made TSA a little more of a PITA.

Get a pair of these so you’ll fit in if you find yourself in a rough neighborhood.

Probably the same type of shoe you’d wear in New York, DC, Chicago, etc. You’re going to Boston, not hiking the Appalachian Trail or summiting Everest. Since it seems you might be a bit slow, let me tell you that the underwear and toothbrush you use at home will also be sufficient.

We are heading to Boston this Thursday. The weather looks to be cool with rain chances several of the days. Can anyone recommend a comfortable shoe/boot to wear on my travels? Boston is a walking city so we will be putting in several miles a day. TIA

There's an Allbirds store (or two) in Boston.

If you're going to put in miles on a brand new shoe, I'd do that.
