Men's boots (manufactuers, comfort and look) - Update Page 7

From what I have gathered, Tony Llama and Lucchese are the high standard for men's boots. However, not every one has the financial means to buy these. And for someone looking to get into their first boot, this may not be the best option initially.
How does Double H compare in terms of comfort, looks and value?
Ariat, I believe gets a lot of praise on here, namely because of price (made in China), but how is their durability and craftsmanship when compared to an American made boot? The same, can be said for Chippewa and Justin (may be all the same company operating with different brands).
Lastly, where does Tecova, Georgia or White boots rank as well (in terms of a mid-tier boot - assuming mid-tier on price alone when compared to Tony or Lucchese)?

I wear Justin boots to work M-F. After about 11.5 months they start showing serious signs of wear and tear, but I like them.
They are not "fashion" boots though IMO.

I've never heard of anyone put Tony Llama in a category with Lucchese.
The boot you pictured is ugly, IMO, but as far as I know Double H is fine. People like Ariats because they're comfortable. That, and because Ariat has sold about 10 million pairs of the Rambler.
I think Ariats often look like shite (boots are something that frequently look much different IRL than they do online) and they're really clunky. But again, they're comfortable and cheap.
I've owned several pairs of Georgia Boots. They're hideous looking, but they're great work boots to beat the shite out of. They're also really comfortable.

Bought a pair of the full quill tecovas two weeks ago. I'm overly impressed with the quality and comfort for the price.

Yea those look terrible.
Ariats are just fine IMO. comfy as hell and decently priced. You can get a really nice pair for under $200

I buy Ariat.
I no longer work in the field but when I did I didn't care to purchase expensive boots. Justin boots I found uncomfortable and lasted 6-7 months in the conditions I work in. I was given a pair of Ariats for Christmas same job they lasted over a year and I found super comfortable.
Since then I'v stuck with Ariat. Not expensive, last, and look good enough to wear to the office. I won't claim they are the best but they are great for the price.

I have custom boots, Luccheses, Tony Llama, Nocona...you name it, I probably have a pair.
My favorite, most comfortable boots are a pair of Ariats with rubber soles though.
Clearly I wouldn't wear them to a nice occasion, but I wear them sometimes to work and when I run around town. Hell, I even wore them quail hunting yesterday.
I've had em for close to six years now too.

I'm wearing docs right now. While they are steel toes I don't wear them to work. I feel every pebble I step on and they get uncomfortable after a while. I bought a pair of Stanley's on Amazon but not impressed with them either. I think slip on timberlands are my next buy.

Ariat was founded by women and originally made only for women.
About 20 years ago shortly after they expanded their line of products I bought a pair of Ariat paddock boots and they never fit properly on my male feet. Maybe that has changed since then, but if I were you I would be careful with them.
