Usually goes like this..
Me: You're awfully quiet. What's wrong?
Her: Nothing! (Sulky Voice)
Me: You sure?
Her: It's nothing! (Angry, Sulky, Voice)
Me: Okay then. (Happy voice, go about my business as usual)
X amount of hours/days later.......
Her: Are you just going to ignore me and pretend like nothing is wrong???
Me: You said nothing was wrong......was that not true?

As stated earlier, I enjoy the silence.
I also piss her off because I fight fire with fire, and I'm a lot better at it than she is

I am better at the silent treatment than she is. If she wants to play the game I will just play it better than she will. She tried it one time for about two days and she finally just cracked and has not tried it again.

This doesn't happen to me because I do not become romantically involved with people who argue like children.
However, my mom loves the silent treatment whenever she gets the idea that she has somehow been slighted. I just completely ignore it and go about my life. It has literally zero effect on me while she just stews.

Ignore her. She'll think your up to something. Continue ignoring her and she'll try to sex/feed you into confessing. Ignore her again and you'll be swimming in sandwiches/BJs while having a non nagging wife for a few days.
