Sorry baws.

There's winning and then there's winning big. A lucky Michigan lottery player won big Friday night — $1 billion big.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot was one the most valuable lottery jackpots ever, according to organizers.

One ticket matched all six numbers — 4, 26, 42, 50, 60, and 24 —necessary to win the estimated $1 billion prize, according to Mega Millions. The yet-to-be-identified winner can choose between long-term payments or a $739.6 million lump-sum payout before taxes.

You gotta be fricking kidding me.

I envy these fricking people. Get lucky for one night and they win this kind of money, enough to last 20 lifetimes. Why am I never this lucky about anything?

It’s still a lot of money but it would kinda suck to win a billion dollars and “only” end up with about 375mm.

I'm a pretty happy person IRL. I would be happier no doubt if I could buy a car collection and a huge ranch

have read several articles about lotto winners ultimately working their way back to the same socioeconomic position as before winning, wouldn't mind giving it a try though

That is what pisses me off about lotteries - conflating a sum of annuity payments with a lump sum.

It is not a "billion dollar jackpot" unless it is a billion dollars now.

I don’t see any scenario where I could even spend half of $500 million

If it makes you feel better there’s billions people that will never be this lucky. You’re not alone in your fight.

Seeing how my friends were getting pissy just talking about everyone buying a ticket and splitting the money I can only imagine the headaches this guy is gonna have. I’d do everything in my power to stay under the radar.

Planes and yachts will add up to $500 million pretty quick.
