That's the way it appears. He was at the passenger side window when shot and was pulled from in between to render aid. Probably looking eye to eye with one another when the shooting happened.

How does one fear for his life when they are that far apart unless McKnight was trying to get into his vehicle.

Good question. Lot I don't know about incident and trying to piece it together
Posted on 12/3/16 at 10:02 am to tygeray
That is possible. He may not have noticed he was being followed until he reached the light and JM pulled along side him. It'll all come out but the problem is we'll only get one side of the story because the other guy is dead.

McKnight was shot in his hand, which could indicate it was very close range.

That'll be easy to prove or disprove by powder burns. He could have reached for the gun once the guy pulled it. Could have been in a scuffle and never saw the gun. Unfortunately that part will never be clear.

I think it can be assumed that at the end of the "chase" Mcnight was following him since he was on the side of him in the turning lane.

Haha what a bitch driving around with a gun on your lap. It's like a grown arse man still dressing up and playing cowboys and indians.

So road rage incident, lets say he was followed by JM, and JM gets out of his car, Gasser still inside car, why not lock the doors and drive away?

In this case, there was no where for Gasser to go once McKnight drove on the side of him.

Some are saying he may have been boxed in due to traffic

Yeah I would say that Gasser was driving like a dick, JM got pissed off and confronted him, gets out his car and is at the passenger side window then gets shot. The part that's unclear is the time he's at the window and the point of the shooting. Scuffling, yelling, only 2 people know this and one is dead.

Has anyone mentioned that Gasser is a pussy arse bitch?
He's goingg to be fricked with in prison..no gun to save him when he's getting doggystyled by Lamar

I disagree with your statement. There have been many armed car jackings in NOLA lately (at least one resulting in the murder of the driver). It only takes split second for someone to have you. I have seen someone set up where a person distracts the driver and others come up from behind on the passenger side. The driver had a firearm and the would-be criminals slammed the door and ran away.
For you to make fun of someone for wanting to defend themselves shows how naive you are at the current climate in places such as New Orleans.

This may turn into a George Zimmerman situation where there is no conviction. shite there may be no charges at all. You're only going to get one side of the story. No other person knows what happened inside the car.

Why do some of you think it's just so easy to ignore a grown man coming towards you while boxed in in traffic?
We're not talking about walking away from a fight outside of a bar. This traffic.

The way the facts are coming together versus the witness statement, there's a chance he doesn't even see jail.
Posted on 12/3/16 at 10:23 am to idlewatcher
Yeah being that his window was down they're probably yelling at each other. A scared person probably rolls up the window or maybe he was caught by surprise. I don't know.
Previous incident leads to me believe this guy is a hothead behind the wheel.

Because you have the protection of your car. McKnight apparently didn't break the window and there is no sign he had a weapon.

But you're stuck there with a guy standing inches from you in a threatening manner. Let's also not forget as someone stated, this began miles back.
