Those guys are actually in pretty incredible shape .. It's funny to see the best ones are the ones with little to no guts .. The fat asses aren't that good ..

That's exactly what I was alluding to.

If they train by eating immense quantities of hot dogs in ten minutes, it would seem that they would not be in such great shape.

Normally, yes and especially after I butt frick your stank arse mother and in this situation I usually have to burn my clothes when I get home the funk is so bad.

Tell her to bathe more often.

I'd imagine they do a lot of core training .. The better ones actually have very strong stomach muscles .. I would also imagine you'd have to have pretty good wind to be constantly shoving masses of food down your throat for 10 minutes at a time .. I would imagine they run a lot too ..

I love how they jump around I guess to move the food in their stomachs.

It does not look like fun.

ETA: God bless these heroes.

They train their stomachs to stretch by drinking a gallon of water in ten minutes.

Seriously? I've never once watched the hot dog eating contest, and I've seen number of articles and specials about the physical and mental training these competitors go through. There is an even a Freakonomics podcast about Kobyashi and his systematic methods of training.

I met MLE eater Juan Rodriguez at a barber shop in Las Vegas and he was very fit. He actually works as a personal trainer. He said the reason why skinny people beat fat people is there is more room in their stomachs and their stomachs can stretch more. He also told me he thought Matt Stonie would beat Chestnut this year (guess he was right). Juan finished 6th last year at Nathans HDEC. Not sure how he did this year.
