If I could go out instantaneously in a car wreck at age 86 with Mrs. Füt, I'd prolly take it.

Not premeditated, but just thinking out loud.

Yea 'terrible' may not be the right word. I mean they were pretty old and overcame a lot, but still you live that long you don't expect to get offed by a bad taxi driver. Another case for Uber.

Let's not jump to blaming the driver; sounds like they died bc they weren't wearing seat belts.

Jennifer Connelly. One of the best in Hollywood.

So he wasn't wearing a seat belt? Wonder if the POS cabbie didn't have them out.

Damn, these 2 and Bob Simon with CBS died the same way.

I'm wearing a seatbelt in a taxi/town car if I'm ever in one again. Sounds like unskilled drivers too!

Besides the story makes it seem like the other driver caused the crash. The taxi driver doesn't seem at fault at all, at least based on that story.

You met him a few times and you are "beyond sad"?

What happens when people you actually know well die? Are you catatonic?

It's not like he is just some random guy--hence, why were are having a thread in the first place. It's not atypical to be sad when somebody of his prominence has passed, even without any personal connection. If he had a personal connection then what is wrong with saying he is "beyond sad?" Either way, why does the specificity of his sadness level matter anyways?
