Mask Mandate on Airplanes

Mask mandate is set to expire next Monday on public transportation. What do we think the odds are that it actually expires and doesn’t get renewed?

I sure hope so, the wife(no pics) and I are flying to Vegas the first week of May and it sure would be nice not to have to wear one for over 4 straight hours

I’ve got an international flight on Wednesday. frick Biden for pointlessly extending the mandate for an extra month. Masks on planes have always been the most pointless of all the mandates. And that’s fricking saying something.

Dude get real. There is a pilot shortage already. If they lift the mandate, 75% of the pilots would immediately contract Covid and die. No more pilots. Is that a world you want to live in? Just put the mask on and listen to the CDC. They only have your best interest at heart. Just trust them. It’s for the greater good.

No secret that it is 100% political.
They know it will be very difficult to relaunch “Covid Hysteria” in time for more “mail in voting” (No ID Required + Ballot Harvesting) policies for midterms if they make this type of signal that the pandemic is no more.
It is absolutely ridiculous that they just can’t keep it as Optional or make a statement that it is still Encouraged for elderly and those with underlying health conditions.

Why wouldn't they extend it? They don't have to wear masks while they fly on private jets on the taxpayer's dime, so it costs them nothing to keep the mandates in place indefinitely.
Remember, most of their voter base love mask mandates. They have a vested interest to keep them in place.

I found the thinnest most useless mask and wear that. If I wear a masks that actually works or bothers me.
I also have been flying in the far back of the plane since covid. Near the window and u find I can leave my mask off.

Try that with a Seattle based flight crew, and you'll have a nasty shem in your face with a quickness screaming at you to put your mask back on. They enforce that shite with an iron fist.

Will be really interesting, there's a TON of business group pressure to lift the mandate. All the big name airlines are really pressing the Biden admin, as well as bus system operators across the country.
Those that want to keep their pointless safety blanket/mask are surely free to do so, this is America, but the mandate has got to go.

Sitting in a flight currently and this is the first flight in the last 2 months in which a FA has made a comment about mask being fully up.
All others haven’t given a flying F. It’s a control thing for some of them.
