Tunica County Sheriff Commander Cedric Davis confirmed a man died inside Hollywood Casino on Sunday night.

According to the Tunica County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Bob Jerome Murray of Birmingham, Alabama, fell in the water near the buffet area of the casino. It sounds like a freak accident involving a pack of cigarettes and the fountain caused Murray's death.

One witness said Murray was at the hotel with his fiance' when she threw him a pack of cigarettes. When he went to catch them, he lost his balance, fell over the railing, and landed in the water.

His fiancee has to feel at least a little bad for this.

Rail was too low and they failed to have a "no throwing packs of cigarettes" sign. Of course good luck getting the tribe elders to pay anything out.

There were nine (eight now that Harrah's closed a few years ago) casinos in Tunica. I've been to all but Bally's.

When I first turned 21, I went to Hollywood a lot because my older roommate always went there with his family and accrued a lot of free rooms and playing cash. I'm quite familiar with that pool but here's a protip - don't go to Hollywood if you go to Tunica.

There are much better joints around.

I think Penn National Gaming Inc. refers to them as Board of Directors. The only Indian run gaming in the state is in Philadelphia, MS.

Oh so this is why Alabama refuses to allow gambling or lottos. Interesting
