Man killed, another hurt in home invasion; police ID suspect

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police just released the identity of a man being sought in connection a home invasion robbery Thursday morning that left one person dead and another wounded.
Authorities are looking for 27-year-old Allen Martin, of the 6000 block of Lexington Avenue in Shreveport. He is wanted on a charge of attempted second-degree murder.
The name of the man who was fatally shot has not yet been released.
Wounded in the shooting was 43-year-old Terry Stewart. He was taken to University Health for treatment of a gunshot wound to one of his legs.
Detectives think Martin and the man who was slain went to Stewart's home in the 2400 block of Queens Highway and tried to rob Stewart at gunpoint at 1:46 a.m. Thursday, Shreveport police Cpl. Marcus Hines said.
Authorities urge anyone with any information about Martin to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers by calling (318) 673-7373 or submitting a tip on the organization's website, lockemup.org. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
