interesting that he could actually pull this off ...not really sure why anyone would go through the trouble, though.
This shite happened TWENTY YEARS AGO... people could still smoke in the mall 20 years ago. We didn't have a firm grasp on WTF was going on in our society.

*does the math*

frick! That was in 1996!?!

Whelp.... fricking Florida

The truth began to surface when a nephew of the real Terry Symansky — who drowned in 1991 at the age of 33 — started an Ancestry.com family search, according to NBC affiliate WFLA. Knowing that his uncle was dead, the nephew was surprised to find someone with the same name living in Central Florida.

If only this dude would have minded his own business.

This man baffles me. He goes from a metaphorical death (having a family he obviously doesn't want to be apart of) to faking his real death just to go back to another metaphorical death?

He should have stopped at the fake real death.

Shocking. Moving to Florida after abandoning your family. What's next? A salmon swimming upstream?

He was probably death certificate shopping again when they arrested him.

My 1st question, though, was how'd he steal the death certificate?
I read another article where supposedly he stayed in a hotel room and the guest that had his room before was the real Terry Symansky's father and he had left the death certificate in the hotel room.

See, he pulled off this heist before the Internet was prevalent. No way you do this today in the era of social media and connectivity.
