What are your thoughts? Is this in a decent part of the city? Would you recommend staying there as a visitor?

I've stayed there a couple of times. I never had an issue with it.

My buddy had his wedding there a couple of years ago. It seemed nice to me and it's not in a horrible part of town but it's kind of hard to get to with all the one ways if you don't frequent NOLA

Sketchy walking to the hotel at night. I prefer the river side of Bourbon Street.

It's nice but towards the "wrong" direction. I've stayed there a few times and didn't like having to leave the crowds for a couple of blocks to walk back late at night.

ETA: Never had a problem, I just have a general rule to stay around people in the 1/4.

They are under new management as of 2 years ago and are striving to to become the most unique and nicest boutique hotel in the quarter. If you are looking to stay there or book an event email me and I can get you in touch with the right people to make sure you enjoy your experience:

Would you recommend this place for some college females during spring break?

And no pics.

I would say it depends on what these women plan to do...

if they are planning to walk everywhere (that is, get all shitty in the quarter every night), then I would not stay that close to rampart...

if they are planning to take cabs or drive most places, then it may be acceptable...

It's a great hotel for the price and is in a perfect location.
We stay there two nights every summer to attend a function with friends on the quarter and to party.
The pool is pretty nice for a hotel that size.

I don't think that area is bad at all.

For the price, you can't beat it. They have a neat little lobby bar where they do their own infused liquors. I have been twice and always enjoyed the stay.
