It is kind of mind boggling that you are in California and you don't have a better shelving system for this sort of thing.

Was in Sonoma Saturday doing all that stuff with family. One lady said we are lucky that an earthquake hasn't hit in awhile. ...should've knocked on wood

Knowing what a bottle of Silver Oak goes for, I hope they had earthquake insurance.

Ya we'll be going there or Sonoma. We're visiting a friend of my fiancée, so I don't have to plan a thing besides all the touristy stuff that we'll do when they are at work on Friday

Nice, it's a great place to visit. My brother works at a vineyard in napa.. I got to do tastings for free last time I visited.

Wine tasting in napa is pretty expensive. Usually $20-25 for a tasting, compared to $5 for other parts of the state. It should be pretty awesome this time of year because the harvest season is starting.

Ya I got a buddy from California who mentioned that it should be a neat time with all that going on. I've never been to California but I'm hoping to make it out there a bit more in the future.

Eta: just realized I'm pulling off Manifest Destiny this year. Seen/visited East Coast, Gulf, Great Lakes, and Pacific in a 4 month period. frick ya, 'Merica

Lot of the restaurants in St. Helena closed today. Tasting rooms too.

Wow, I know you travel, surprised you've never been to California. San Francisco is so awesome, easily one of the coolest places I've visited. There are so many different neighborhoods to see. I just moved to Cali but I live in the central, shitty part of the state; but San Fran is only a few hours drive away.

You gotta check out Chinatown of course. Get away from the tourist part by the dragons gate and walk down Stockton. There are lots of dim sum shops, produce markets and some seafood stores. It's really amazing how authentic it feels.

Earthquake deductibles are typically pretty high and can vary from 2-20%.

7 years of school with a one year break. So poor. Been working for only 3 years now at 29. Now I'm cramming it in before I get married and make little humans. Plus my family didn't travel a lot either, but I love it.

Thanks for the tip. I have been mentally checked out on planning besides the Alcatraz tickets so that's definitely good info and something I want to do. Gonna crush that food
