Lumbar Injections: Who's had it done?

Did you use local anesthesia or just get it numbed with the spray? Trying to decide which option to choose.

Numbed with spray.. was in so much pain it didn't matter at that point.

Doc said it was like getting a cortisone shot. I think she's full of shite though.

Worst pain I've every been in. Thank God for dilaudids.

My doc knocks me out for these. Only under for about 15 minutes.

Had it done both ways. The last I had was just local anesthesia, and it was done under CT scan instead of fluoroscopy. The latest and greatest technology. I was a bit surprised when I realized I wasn't getting an IV, but it wasn't bad at all.

First available appointment for a local anasthetic is Nov 20. In too much pain to wait.

I've had them. They shoot me up with something that loops me out, but doesn't knock me out. Don't know what it is, but I don't feel shite.

I've had spinal injections. Thoracic not lumbar. No anastetic. Just don't look at the needle they use.
