I know it will NEVER happen, but give that med school to Tech. Tech maintains a Tier 1 status with pennies for a budget.

Another Jindal pigeon coming home to roost. Sold charity hospitals to deal with a budget crisis that he created. Turns out, deal wasn't that good. shocker. He screwed LSU in every manner possible, including hiring F.King.

All to pander nationally for a race in which he finished near the bottom out of 17 candidates

I mean, LSU really doesn't need to fund two medical schools. If you can't make the cut to get in the NOLA location, maybe you should take that as a sign.

I wish we'd cancel F King Alexander. He's a world class douche bag.

Atleast we got rid of Lombardi. He would walk around the commuter lots and claim there are so many luxury vehicles, that students should be able to afford fee and tuition increases. F that guy, so happy to see when he left. Can we get O'Keefe back though? That guy was the shite

Plenty of people who don't want to be in New Orleans for med school pick Shreveport. Has nothing to do with not getting in.

Regardless, LSU doesn't need t be the operator of that school. But thanks for the usual shot at NOLA. It was extremely helpful to the discussion.

Was it Jindal that vastly increased Louisiana's share of medicaid expansion with Obamacare his first week in office?

What a remarkably ignorant statement. Especially when one can argue that the medical school in Shreveport is the better of the 2.

Who should operate the school?

And don't be so thin skinned, New Orleans has a shite ton of things to do, ie possible distractions for people med school aged. Not so much Shreveport.

One can argue anything.

Regardless, shut the NOLA one down then if it makes you feel better. LSU doesn't need 2, which is the actual point.

We use the quality not quality model here in Louisiana.

Ask us how it's working out.

DOn't care. If LSU is bleeding resources keeping both open,
close one.

Or keep both medical schools open as they are both needed despite what you may think.

And look into other ways to stop bleeding resources.

If one were to audit LSU, I'd wager that the second medical school is the area of the (or among) the least waste.

Why does LSU need to operate both? I don't feel like you're getting the point?

Y'all are so predictible. Did anyone actually read the article?

quote:

BRF hasn't denied it's in arrears with LSU, but it blames the state for what it considers slow payments to BRF. State government, through the Louisiana Department of Health, must pay BRF to operate hospitals in Shreveport and Monroe.

BRF, and the State Dept of Health, are not reimbursing LSU for care provided at the hospital, so LSU is using its reserves at the moment to keep it operating. Why shouldn't LSU and King complain about the breach of contract and not getting paid?
