our last experience in the dome is one many still haven't gotten over.

And our last regular season game in the dome was that snooze fest against Tulane - 11am kickoff. If I remember correctly we were down at half.

Are we just going to let this go?

Only for it to get canceled.

Hopefully we could cross the 50 next time

Call me old fashioned...but I kind of like playing our home games in our actual stadium. That one that the entire college football world talks about all the time...?

It is a pantheon of concrete and steel

It is a city that rises defiantly in the delta alongside the father of waters

It is the humidity of autumn evenings that drapes stately oaks and broad magnolias

It is haunted ... and it is loud.

It is Halloween night & Cannon blasts

It is a Louisiana gumbo of humanity that cheers its Tigers to victory & destroys the dreams of invading foes

Chance of rain is ... never!

It is the cathedral of college football & worship happens here

When the sun finds its home in the western sky it is a field of glory for sure ...

But much more than that it is a sacred place

And it is Saturday night in Death Valley

And keep in mind...my seats on in the north end of the EU, which means I LITERALLY don't get shade until the sun finds it's fricking home in the western sky until the time changes...but Death Valley is home so it matters not.

Understandable. It holds 102,000 fans and, outside the west upper deck, it's a beautiful stadium....but I think this is supposed to be sold as a "neutral" site.

The Super Dome's seating capacity is just inadequate for being so close to LSU.

Dude you haven't been in the dome since before Katrina. WTF do you know about what the dome is like?

This has getting rid of the U of Texas home-and-home written all over it.

I've been looking forward to that Austin trip for a while and would be pretty butthurt if this turns into a Nola/Houston neutral site game.

I can't imagine many teams would be interested in playing a "neutral" site game this close to Baton Rouge unless that team has a "neutral" site of their own nearby.

University of Maryland has two to chose from

Nice options to have.

They both hold significantly more fans than the football stadium on Maryland's campus though. Seems like a "neutral site" so close to LSU should be able to handle similar crowds as Tiger Stadium.

Still kind of want to see this happen though.

Have an upvote.

With that said, I'll take AC and cocktails against a solid P5 team instead of swamp arse watching us play Southeast Iowa A&M College of Mining.

Love the passion though. Cheers.

If they can't keep the lights on, why bother.

Yep. The "home" and "home" with Wisconsin should've been in the super dome and all future matchups like that.

Right...I'm not a fan of neutral site games in general. Sure...I'm excited about seeing The Tigers play at Lambeau, but honestly I'd have been even more likely to make the trip had we been playing at Camp Randall. That back and forth between college locations is what college football is all about.

They market these games to fans as something special when in reality it's all about TV revenue for folks who'd never be going to the game anyway. As an actual season ticket holder, if it's all the same, I'd rather play LSU games in Tiger Stadium...

It is a cool idea...however, the dome just doesn't seat enough. most of the season ticket holders wouldn't even get tickets.
