Like everything else in this world, it's all about the money. All those tax dollars being collected by the states that have already legalized is starting to catch the attention of the political figures of other states.

Technically, medical marijuana is already legal in Louisiana for certain conditions.

Has been for a couple of decades. Legislature just never funded the office regulating/licensing/etc.. They had a site outside either Laffy or the Chuck designated as the location though (forget which over the years).

Helpful to have states like Denver leading the way and not seeing any violent tendencies increase.

The growing is contracted out, so LSU isn't directly growing it. Students more than likely won't ever get to see it.

the board of pharm is taking apps and detailed business plans for marijuana pharmacies right now... lot of work to get a permit... only 10 will be given... deadline is 9/29...

we are seriously considering it, but the thing is it can't be sold in the same building as our medications.... so we can't use our existing pharmacy, we'd have to build another building

could it be on the same property just a separate building? Share a parking lot?

The fact they are only giving out 10, is imagine who ever gets the contracts or license will have an in demand product. I don't see why you wouldn't throw your hat into it unless it just seems as if the regulations on it will be too tight where there isn't many patients getting prescribed the Meds.

we would want to be one of the first to establish a clientele but again it's a retarded process that the board is putting anyone interested through

I'm pretty sure the tobacco companies do as well. I know the focus is on reducing the opiod epidemic, but I personally used pot for a little while to kick my dip addiction. I dipped a can a day for 5 years. Now it's been 2 years since I've dipped.
