Good move to help cut down on the opiate epidemic
So will the state follow the state university and allow medical marijuana? Seems with the national opiate epidemic worsening, this is a great counter effort.

It's pretty crazy how even the conservative anti-drug boomers have come around to the idea of legalizing marijuana. It just goes to show you how only a few key figures/institutions in our society can really hold so much power.

Helpful to have states like Denver leading the way and not seeing any violent tendencies increase.

I'm under the age of 30 and very few of my friends (including me) smoke. But I don't know anyone who is against decriminalization.

Sounds like it could be a new hazing technique

Is that because of work-related drug policies?

Technically, medical marijuana is already legal in Louisiana for certain conditions.

I'm not sure why. I don't smoke because it's just never something I got into. I will on occasion, given the right setting, but it's incredibly rare, like once every few years. I'll never be drug tested. Most of my friends are like that as well. No one has a problem with smoking though, or thinks it should be illegal.

The law will eventually get medicinal-grade marijuana to people with cancer, a severe form of cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, epilepsy, muscular dystrophy and other diseases.
That's not going to touch the opioid epidemic.
