I agree but this was an easy win to give the student leadership

I listened to the board speeches on this matter and it appears there was substantial archival evidence proving Middleton’s support of segregation while he was President. He was even on record encouraging the Board to disregard the federal court orders on integration

And so now the majority of donations will come from people of color?

Since they obviously don’t want the money of us evil white devils since at some point in the past someone might have said something deemed racist by modern standards

What exactly was his thought crime? I’m sure it’s racist, but what are the particulars?

No one donated to LSU prior to this movement. That’s why the LSU Foundation (fundraising arm) had to layoff 40% of their employees

Liberals are removing any chance of repeating history, by removing all historical evidence that it ever occurred.

Wasn’t it something about a letter stating that, in an age of segregation, Black and white students Would be kept separate?

Anyway here’s the new black student union that doesn’t allow white kids inside

Thus, ends the systemic racism of the campus library.

He was racist and anti-desegregation along with probably 99% of US colleges in that time frame. It doesn't make it right, though.

We may as well burn down everything and start from scratch if we are going on witch hunts.

And was put in charge of implementing the deseg program at LSU.

I'm sure every black student had to weigh the costs of getting, in many cases, a cheaper education at the state's flagship university versus the name of a library caused many, many sleepless nights.

Yet the Law Center has a statue of Russell Long. What, pray tell, was this Democrat Senator doing during the Civil Rights Act votes?

The federal court building is still named after Hale Boggs. What was THAT democrat congressman doing during the Civil Rights Act votes?

In retrospect, did he help or hinder it?
