That's easier said than done. A lot of folks sacrifice their whole adult life chasing something (money, love, power, etc) only to finally get it and realize it's not what they expected it to be.

It's tough to take a step away from that situation and see the forest for the trees when that's what you've wasted your best years on.

At some point you’ve reached out for help so much and you just realize your issues are beyond outside assistance. I certainly understand it. I sometimes feel that way about some of the anxieties I have that there are just no cure for and you end up avoiding responsibilities just hoping they go away for as long as possible.

It really isn't that easy. One of the biggest worries when you are depressed is having other people worry about you. You are terrified of being a burden to your family or friends. It's exhausting.
