FEMA has this magical ability to make things worse

Aren't they the fricking best?

Lol, just saw that on TWC. I was about to get on cajun navy channel and tell them they better get to grabbing today because the red tape is coming.

Exactly. My friend, a veterinarian, was with a group last year at the floods taking care of animals coming in with families right up until the government showed up. They told him to stop providing care until they could figure out a record keeping system so they could get credit for taking care of animals. He sat around for a couple of hours and then left. Great plan. This will be more of that I am sure.

I believe that's one reason Ed Emmett was pleading early on for good ol boy help. Once FEMA is on site, that shite is shut down.

This ain't Bush & Obama's FEMA, maybe things will be a little better this time. Not expecting it but we can hope.

Be careful Texans. MREs are designed to make you constipated. The gum is a mild laxative. Don't take the gum from all the MREs and chew them throughout the same day. The mild laxative effect does stack. Trust me.

quote:good luck to texas. fema and sba workers are probably the worst people i've ever had to deal with in work related situations. take a bunch of the really dumb, retired cops, firefighters, and other poor government workers and ask them to help those in need. turns out once your work for the government, you're permanently a moron. i would watch them sit around and do NOTHING for hours.
FEMA
i would sit with the displaced and just listen and let them cry while the fricktards at fema got drunk at dinner.
sometimes i think they got off on telling frail, old folks, "no, you aren't getting any help."

it's WHO they hire.
there is no sense of urgency.
they're usually uneducated.
paid 12-18$/hr.
they are sooooooo entitled.
i'm like, "bitch, stop getting drunk every night and fill out the god damn paperwork for these folks!!!"
if trump wants to know what fema and SBA are up to... tell him to call me. i've got names.

During the flood I heard stories of churches that had been handing out clean used clothing getting shut down by FEMA. One lady told me that their church let FEMA set up shop and the first thing they did was tell them that they could no longer give out free donuts and made them throw all the donuts in the trash.
Some of the scariest words you can ever hear: "We're from the government and we're here to help."

You think Trump just magically turned FEMA into a well-oiled machine in the last 8 months? Is that what he's been doing at Mar-a-lago every weekend?

The paperwork and peripheral aspects will still be a shitshow, but Ed Emmett isn't going to let them frick up the current search and rescue ops.

Way to not finish the whole statement dumbass. If you read it you'd see I said I wouldn't expect much different, but that probably doesn't fit your agenda.

Is Matt Morris out of jail yet? I'm sure he would have the Lord lead him in providing renovation assistance to the people of Houston.
