TL;DR - eat less, do more.
My advice - start running the lakes 3-4x a week. Get at least a full circuit in even if you can't run the whole thing. Walk when you get too tired.
If you want to be in the gym more, consider doing some high-rep, cardio intensive workout routines. There's plenty of exercises on the internet that would be fine to follow. Bodybuilding.com has a good "Find a Plan" system that will suggest a workout plan for you after answering a few questions.
Just always try to be losing as many calories as you're putting in. It doesn't necessarily mean eating perfectly. There's a guy that ate twinkies for a straight year and still lost weight because he was just keeping his caloric output high vs. his intake. Moderation is your best friend when trying to shed pounds.

Thanks for the input, yeah I understand the obvious which is cut out bad food and workout. But specific plans or diets is what I was more curious about.

So you're fat, you just store in the gut first like most men.

No such thing, with fat, first on last off.
You body is a machine. Energy in - energy out, if the result is positive-you gain weight, negative-you lose weight.
There is an app called Loseit. helped me lose quite a bit of weight.

Diet. Diet. Diet. Diet.
Diet.
Someone more knowledgable might correct me, but I'd say getting in shape and achieving the stomach you want is about 75% diet.

Read Body For Life. Specific guidance on workouts and diets and most importantly it's a sustainable change to your lifestyle not the latest/greatest "workout plan."

Eating right & exercising seems to always save the belly for last. Weird I guess.
Short of liposuction, I've never come across a way to target the fat in one place.

its not just beer
pizza.
say goodbye to pizza AND beer for a year.
buy and consume two servings of fruit a day
and buy the makings for one complicated salad a day.
eat those like you life depended on it.
eat fish a few times a week even if its canned salmon and canned tuna.
no fried food for a year.
make a roast on the weekend and have roast beef sandwiches all during the week.
go for a walk today. put on a hat and sunscreen if you need to.
go for a walk or swim every day from now on.
that should do it.

I lost 40 lbs 2 years ago, a friend of mine is a trainer and he got me on a strict diet.
Twice a day juice - carrots,celery,cucumber,green apple,ginger
Twice a day steamed veggies with just olive oil and lemon no salt
Then after a week cleanse, same thing but added a chicken breast twice a day
I shed 40 lbs in 3 or so months.
Granted Im 6'7 so I went from 265 to 225. Still though I lost weight quick, its brutal without salt but you get used to it

You can't focus fat reduction to one specific area. Everyone's body is different and weight comes off differently. Some people gain weight first in their face, and others, their arse. The same goes with losing weight.
