Fiancée (no pics) and I are getting married this summer.

Trying to figure out honeymoon destination. Thinking of Hawaii or somewhere in the Caribbean. St. John's is one place that comes to mind as we've been there before.

Any recommendations? Leaning towards a resort style place.

Save that money and spend it on a big ceremony. There's only so many pictures you can take on a honeymoon, but the photo ops at an expensive wedding will be a loving reminder that will last a lifetime.

Under $5,000 - not an OT baller. Some of the Sandals resorts in the bahamas seems nice. Can get there and back for around $4,200 I saw last night.

Summer in the Carribean? Not me. If you really think so, knock yourself out. Hawai'i is better.

I'd do somewhere in Europe instead. Ireland will Knock you out.

frick that, you can Photoshop yourselves into the advertisement photos and Facebook will never know the difference. You can't Photoshop your grandma in a wedding photo.

Do the smart thing and save the money.

St John's is a university. St John is an island.

There are lots of great destinations in the Caribbean. Do you have activities you want to do on an island or is it just lounge around and eat, drink and be honeymooners?

I'm not worried about the wedding. The amount spent on it honestly blows my mind, but I am not paying for it. Actually feel kind of guilty that so much money is being spent on it.
