Tonight I learned of two new diseases that must by supported by federal benefits.

Long covid is apparently a post infection medical deterioration that could last 2 months or maybe longer. webmd describes 12-13 symptoms and really not anything to do. The cdc advertised twice this evening that taking the booster shots will help avoid the problem. Looks like cdc is planning how to get rid of the surplus vaccines at taxpayer cost.

the groans from the rep caucus when Biden started talking about beau Biden was loud. He is now claiming that Beau was given cancer from burn pit used to dispose of garbage in Iraqi and Afghanistan and will require the VA to start treating/compensating folks for their exposure.
If folks burning trash cannot understand they should stand upwind, How will they ever understand what a transgender is.

maybe a bit, not much more, but the burn pit will have a claim from everyone that went there.

I am okey with the Purple Heart license plates... The Disabled vet ones are questionable due to the expansive inclusion process by the va

Sweet, free money. Still annoyed I never claimed PTSD while I was in.

Dude we burned so much trash in Iraq that we could smell it 15-20miles outside of Baghdad when you were driving into the city.

The burn pits are a real issue and getting the VA to acknowledge anything about it is a PITA. I’ve been trying for 10years and the one person at the NO VA that does it, I’m convinced, is not a real person.

My father, RIP, was one of the “recipients” of said “Agent Orange giveaway” benefits, and for good reason. The best man I’ve ever known developed diseases not inherent to his lifestyle or familial history. My father spent his entire adult civilian life as an RT, treating and caring for countless patients with respiratory disorders. He retired, and was soon thereafter diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. This is a disease that, without a lung transplant, is ultimately a death sentence. He slowly, but surely, spiraled downward, until he caught Covid, and it was his end. My Dad had so many diagnoses that boggled the mind. Many of his doctors could only attribute them to Agent Orange exposure. So, quite frankly, I take offense to the mere idea that there can be a term such as “Agent Orange Giveaway”. It’s disrespectful, at the very least, to our veterans who gave their all, in a war they were commanded to participate in, but were shunned upon on their arrival back home.

100% lie.

Beau Biden wasn't within 100 miles of a burn pit during his one year in Iraq and he never set foot in Afghanistan.

There were no burning shite pits at Victory Base when I was there in 2006. Biden deployed there 2 years later and never left the wire.

Beau Biden died 6 years AFTER he redeployed.

The real stolen Valor was that he got a Legion of Merit as a Major.

Try bathing in Round Up a few times and then staying in your round up soaked clothes and let's see how you do.

On another note, by the time the VA acknowledges and compensates burn pit exposure illnesses, the OIF/OEF vets will be passing away in their 60s, 70s.

Don’t take offense. He’s just some slackjaw moron that saw that shite on some radicalized YouTube video someone posted on his Facebook feed.

What a simple and dumb arse thing to say. They were burning depleted uranium shells, bodies, asbestos, plastics, etc. it didn’t matter whether you were upwind or downwind.

I’ve had 2 buddies die from this shite and my endocrine system got wrecked from it.
