I really wouldn't care if this caused us to have worse relations with Brazil. Like the US stops subsidizing their cotton farms and we stop supporting socialist countries that hurt US companies.

sounds pretty reasonable to me, since filing a false police report is exactly what he did. if he is smart, he'll offer to pay the same fine as the others and be done with it.

That isn't a felony crime here in the States and I doubt it is one on Brazil. He can make them pay his extradition back if he wants.
