Nurse I don't know why you were so worried about telling your dad. Seems like you have gone above and beyond for the best interest of your family. I am sure they are very thankful for what you are doing and have done for them.

10 months is a great age. Just be careful what you wish for when they start walking. It was fun watching them take their first steps but after that it is alot more work. That crawling around going nowhere was nice compared to the oh shite where did they go now.

Nappy Hew Years everyone.
Good Lord blessed us with 4" of rain so we get to slog it out in the mud for the last week of this thing.
They'll be no Our Fathers from me for a while, that'll show him.
Whoever had bad news to tell, you tell them the bad news, pause and then exclaim "Happy New Years!"

Lost dog story.
Stopped three streets into my neighborhood this morning because a dog was sitting there in the middle of the road and wouldn't move.
I was about two feet from it and honked my horn and he just looked at me like "WTF are you honking at?"
Got out to shoo him off the street and he broke out running, circled around my tailgate and before I realized, jumped in my truck and sat down in the passenger seat and looked at me like "OK MFer, let's ride."
Pulled him out the truck, sat down and before I could close the door, he jumped back in except he sat on my lap this time and looked at me like "I said, let's ride MFer."
I said OK goddammit, let's go, so this stray dog and I ride around my neighborhood for 20 minutes looking for some sign of someone looking for him. Finally see a lady out walking so I slow down and honk.
When she turns around, the dog sees her and jumps out of my lap, out the window while we're still moving, runs up to greet her and she stoops to pet him.
Me: "Looks like I found your dog"
Her: "That's not my dog, I don't have a dog."
Me: "You do now. Bye."
