Little things that people do that make you lose respect for them

The things that are pretty tiny but expose real flaws in character that can give you pause.
Yesterday at lunch:
A friend of mine and I stopped to get gas. He drives a Mercedes, is a partner in a big law New Orleans firm and I realized he was using regular instead of premium. His rationale: By the time it starts to screw up the car his lease will be over and he'd have traded it in.
It's a little thing but it calls into question his morals.
ETA: I DID confront him about it. He doesn't give 2 shites about it.

I lose respect for friends who unfairly judge someone based upon frivolous or meaningless shite that in no way affects their lives whatsoever...

The cell phone has kind of ruined conversations for a lot of people, especially the younger generation.

i will also add in people that wear hats at a table in a restaurant. Ifits a fast food restaurant, fine. I've seen people in restaurants wearing a flat bill. If i owned the restaurant i'd ask them to remove it or leave.
