Regardless of overall mileage, what's the fastest way? Is I-40 to Memphis then 55 south the fastest way?

I'm not sure on the route though Paul, I just know it not to be a bad drive to Baton Rouge.

Best way is through shreveport. There is a paul allen statue just off the new I49 extension near gilliam

379 miles the route I showed, fewer speed traps than on Ellunchboxo's route, I think. Beware of course in Dodson, LA, Winn Parish; Dry Prong, Grant Parish: Creola, Grant Parish; Washington, LA (most famous trap).
